About Faviola and her family:

Faviola is 16 years old and is a sophomore at Rancho Alamitos High School in their special needs program.  Faviola lives with her large family in a home in Garden Grove.  She is the middle child.  Her dad and mom currently are not working.  Her dad has always been the provider of the family and is currently on unemployment.  Unfortunately, he was laid off of work and has not been working for about six or seven months.  Mom has always been a housewife and cared for the family.  Their financial situation fluctuates from month to month and at times they even have very little to eat.  But they have some financial assistance from their oldest son for rent and other basic things.  The family lives day by day and they are happy with each other and very thankful for what they have.  They are an incredibly humble and loving family.Faviola_3

How we found Faviola:

Get Up 8 was able to leverage Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America’s ongoing relationship and charitable work with Rancho Alamitos High School’s special needs students.  This family was recommended by one of the school’s special education teachers.
