About David and his family:

David is 15 years old and is a freshman at Rancho Alamitos High School in their special needs program.  His teacher speaks highly of him and says that he is a sweet child.

His father, Lucas, works for a Chinese restaurant while his mother, Teodora, collects recyclables when she can to supplement the family’s income.  There are 8 children in total in this blended family ranging from 19 to 4 years old.  The family lives in one bedroom together in Garden Grove.

 How we found David:

Get Up 8 was able to leverage Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America’s ongoing relationship and charitable work with Rancho Alamitos High School’s special needs students.  This family was recommended by one of the school’s special education teachers.
